What makes concerts different
A dense crowd makes it harder both to notice someone in trouble and to reach them. Low light and loud sound make it harder to see and to talk, and alcohol and warm weather can add to the number of people who need help.
Standing close together for hours, people can become unwell without those around them noticing straight away. Event staff and security are often the first to spot a problem, so it matters that they know how to reach the medical team.
How coverage usually works
A clearly located medical tent gives event staff somewhere to bring people who need attention, and clinicians can be positioned where they can see the crowd. We plan positions, sight lines and exit routes with your production and security teams, and agree how everyone will communicate during the show.
We provide medical care only. Crowd management and security remain with your security provider, and we work with them rather than in place of them.
