What these events usually need
Parades, company days, civic celebrations and similar gatherings tend to have more ordinary risks: heat, minor cuts and falls, and people becoming unwell with an existing condition. Even so, an organizer may be asked for medical coverage by a city, a venue or an insurer, or may simply want it for peace of mind.
A small team can often provide what these events need. That may be two EMTs and a few bags of gear, or a pop-up medical tent with tables, chairs and emergency gear in a location people can easily find.
If you have not done this before
Many organizers have never arranged medical coverage. We can walk you through the questions that matter and explain the options in plain terms. Our planning guide is a good place to start.
Tell us what you are planning, even if the details are still rough. A parade route, for instance, raises different questions from a single company picnic, because the crowd and the route both need to stay accessible to an ambulance.
